NEWLY independent Stephanie Rice made an interesting fashion choice for the GQ Man of the Year awards, channelling a canary in a cheery cocktail frock.
The swimmer, who recently cut ties with her management company to go it alone, is also single in the romantic sense and no doubt had a bevy of willing bachelors to choose from at the hunk-studded event held in Sydney on Thursday night.
Asked what she looks for in a guy, Rice - who has dated Manly league player David Williams and swimmers Eamon Sullivan, Ashley Delaney and Nick D'Arcy - outlined the basics.
"I feel like you have to be at least decent looking," Rice said. "I feel that you have to have a really great personality, be fun, outgoing and love to have a good time."
